2008-2009
In 2008 I installed a video projector in my living room and wanted a new HTPC to deliver content of a higher quality. Since I could not find a commercial chassis that was small enough (yet housed a MicroATX motherboard) to fit on the shelf I had arranged by the projector I set off to build my own.
I chose to build it out of aluminum because it is easy to work with and to keep the weight down. The PSU is of a nonstandard form factor to keep the size down. The front is removable, held in place by two bolts, for easy access when mounting new hardware.
